VFP: SQLCONNECT() syntax

 VFP: SQLCONNECT() syntax
In the documentation, it says that the syntax for the SQLCONNECT() function
is:

SQLCONNECT([DataSourceName, cUserID, cPassword | cConnectionName])

I want to be able to specify the ConnectionName but everytime I use:

SQLCONNECT("MyDataSouce", cUserID, cConnectionName)

it thinks I'm passing the password. Doesn't the "|" mean either?

Thanks.

 VFP: SQLCONNECT() syntax

Thats SQLCONNECT([DataSourceName, cUserID, cPassword] )
 OR SQLCONNECT([ConnectionName])

You've got the right idea, but the pipe means "either all of the stuff on the
left of the pipe", or " all the stuff on the right.

To use the connection name then, you just use:

SQLConnect("cConnectionName")
