rules in other RDBS?

 rules in other RDBS?
Hello,

while pondering the problem of updatable Views it seems to me
that "Rules" are the most general approach to this problem.
Unfortunately it seems that Rules are Postgres specific.

Does someone know whether (and which) other database systems
support Rules or something similar?

Thanks,

Christoph Dalitz
