How can I connect to a dBase III Database?

To connect to dbase III database files, you must specify the name of the
folder containing the DBF file as the dbname as well as specifying "dBASE
III;" for the connect parameter.

Try the following:
Dim dbDbase As Database

Set dbDbase = DBEngine.Workspaces(0).OpenDatabase("C:\Database\", True,
False, "dBASE III;")
where "C:\Database" is the name of the folder containing the DBF file.

All DBF files are considered to be "tables" so you can create a recordset to
open a particular dBASE file.
For example:

Dim rstDbase As Recordset
Set rstDbase = dbDbase.OpenRecordset("SELECT * FROM Data")
where Data is the name of the DBF file.

Hope that helps!

Nancy :)
