 Encoding issue with JBoss 2.4.3 & Interbase 6.01 & Interclient 2.0

I've got an issue with encoding in JBoss. Problematic characters in Cp1250
from database are replaced by question marks.
How should I configure jdbc connection, if I want to store data in Cp1250.
In documentation, I found some instructions about setting properties for
JDBC driver, but it doesn't function.
I heard that the same problem appears with UTF-8 too.

My configuration is:

JBoss-2.4.3_Tomcat-3.2.3 with Interbase 6.01-Interclient 2.0

---jdbc driver-----

I tried both drivers from Inprise

lib\ext\interclient-core.jar - recommended in manual

code="org.jboss.jdbc.JdbcProvider" name="DefaultDomain:service=JdbcProvider">
<attribute name="Drivers">interbase.interclient.Driver</attribute>

code="org.jboss.jdbc.XADataSourceLoader" name="DefaultDomain:service=XADataSource,name=InterbaseDS">
<attribute name="PoolName">foo/DS</attribute>
<attribute name="JDBCUser">sysdba</attribute>
<attribute name="Password">masterkey</attribute>
<attribute name="Properties">charSet=Cp1250</attribute>

Could you help me? Please ...

I'm lookin' for this on internet for a long time.
I'm already desperate.

Thanks for any ideas ...
