 VB 4.0a???
I am playing with a WebSite 1.1 web server.  It comes with some VB 4 and
Access database examples.  However, I am getting a 424 object missing
error.  Any thoughts?  The only thing I could find said something about
calling Microsoft for VB 4.0a.

 VB 4.0a???

My only comment is that you probably already have VB 4.0a.  I went
ahead and ordered 4.0a from Microsoft because my "About" box said I
had version 4.0.  Contents of the new CD were exactly the same.  From
what I've gathered, they stopped shipping v4.0 a long time ago and
most versions out there are 4.0a.  My vb.exe is dated.1/12/96, if that
helps any.

 VB 4.0a???
Microsoft did stop shipping Version 4.0 a long time ago and I recall that
both version 4.0 and version 4.0a CD's were identical to look at in physical
appearance and files on them. the only difference was the file dates and
internal version numbers, some file sizes changed also. The VB.exe dated
1/12/96 is the VB4.0a, the non a version was dated(I think) 8/95. I recall
many problems with error 424 also, most of them were due to corruption in my
system registry. If you do have the right version of VB, try uninstalling
it. Download and run their utility called REGCLEAN to clean out your
registry from corruption( run it as many times as it takes to stop finding
corruption). Re-install VB4 and try your samples again. ( NOTE: You may need
to re-install your Windows if there is too much corruption in the registry)

Hope this helps,
