 ODBC and MS Access2.0

Hi all,

when I'm trying to start my VB-Application, which operates on an Access 2.0
database via ODBC, following error message occurs:

   ODBC - couldn't find ODBC.DLL

I'm sure that the ODBC.DLL is in the \windows\system directory and that it
isn't neither out of date nor damaged or corrupted.
However, this error doesn't occur on systems, where Access 2.0 is already
installed. I assume that another DLL (and not ODBC.DLL) ist missing.

Who knows what DLL's are needed to use a Access 2.0 database via ODBC?
Any other hints are helpful, too.

Thanks.

Here are the odbc dlls in my system directory:

odbc.dll
odbccurs.dll
odbcinst.dll
odbcjt16.dll  <- odbc functions for JET engine usage
odbctl16.dll

I suspect that odbcinst.dll is the one you want.

Am I right?

Jerry

: Thanks.

odbcinst.dll and many more. Basically you need to install the Access ODBC
driver, which comes with Access (of course!) and also the ODBC SDK. I don't
know if microsoft sell the driver stand-alone.
