Help needed.......creating aliases for database paths??????

Anyone with advice on the best way to create drive aliases, or just a
suggestion, please email me at cavf at mindspring.com

What I am hoping to do is to create a drive alias routine that will allow me
to use the path names specific to the machine that I am programming on
(database, flat files, etc) via an alias.

IN other words........

If the path name to the database on the destination machine is on the H:
Network Drive, and on my machine I have it set up on C:.
What would be the best way to implement a routine (running in the windows
toolbox) that would allow me to code my program using the destination pc's
drive/path's so that I would not have to change anything upon
installation??????
