Help: Unable to prevent logon Prompt via ODBC connection

Environment:
Windows 2000 workstation
SQL Server 2000 Personal edition sp1
mixed mode authentication
ODBC connecton  using sa ID amd Password

A VC program uses this ODBC connection  and runs on the same machine. When
running the VC++ program  a sql password prompt is always displayed asking
for the password. When password is manually  supplied everything runs fine.
How do I eliminate the password prompt? This program works correctly on
other machines that is no password prompt displayed . Any ideas?

Thanks

Matt

Sounds like either the ODBC pipe needs more information than you've
given it, or you've not set up the correct permissions for the
database under SQL server.

Check the connect string your app is sending and that this
user/password pair is valid for the database.
