Microsoft Access * Object Library

 Microsoft Access * Object Library
Hi all,

One of the object library available in VB is:
"Microsoft Access * Object Library" (* = 10.0,9.0 etc
depending on the office version installed).

Can anyone explain what is this library used for ?

I'm guessing that it is used to gain access to MS Access
application objects.

Is it possible to detect database changes via this
library ?

Thank you,
Avital

You're right it's the Access application library. It's used mostly by
Access applications in their VBA code, however a very common VB usage is
to run reports. What type of database change are you asking about? I
think for the most part you would use DAO or ADO to detect changes.

I asked this on behalf of someone else, and I wanted to to
make sure what I'm talking about.
You confirmed my initial thought regarding this issue.
But since I never used this library before, I wasn't sure.

Thank you.
