Java program using ODBC as an NT Service

Hi,

We want to run an existing Java based server program which uses the
JDBC-ODBC bridge as a Windows NT Service.

We have used the SRVANY program to sucessfully start up our service. It all
appears to work correctly, except when it tries to use the JDBC-ODBC bridge
to make a query on the database (SQL Anywhere 5).

The exact error message is:
java.sql.SQLException: Specified driver could not be loaded due to system
error  5 (Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.0).

My guess is that we need to assign some sort of permissions to the service
so it can use the bridge.

Has anyone had this problem before? Any help you be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Nigel Ramsay

Make sure that the DSN used is a "System DSN" not "User DSN".

Good Luck.
