 ADO 2.1 and Data-Control VB6/SP3 !
Seems that ADO 2.1 and the Data-Control from SP3
don't fit together, cause I always get errors
in the propertie descriptions ??

Does anybody know if there is a solution for that ?

Regards, Frank

I found the answer to this on Microsoft's site. Apparently, the ADO
data control was compiled under the old version of ADO, and they have
no plans to re-compile it at this time. When Using ADO 2.1, some of
the properties are wrong, and give you this error. They do provide a
pretty lame fix, however. In the function declaration, change any
occurrences of ADODB.Recordset to ADODB.Recordset20. This is supposed
to fix the problem, and I guess it's a lot better that to expect
Microsoft to do things correctly. Good luck, Al

 ADO 2.1 and Data-Control VB6/SP3 !
My 'fix' was to go to Project|References and deslect "Microsoft Data
Objects 2.1 library" and select the the 2.0 Library.  I dont know if
I'll get burned elsewhere.... -Rich
