Q: BDE replacement, any suggestion ?

Hi there,

For several reasons such as performances, distribution criteria, etc.,
I don't want to use BDE nor ODBC in the App I'm currently writting.
Now I'm looking for a replacement but did not find any. Do such
products exist ?

If money is not the problem, I do have some other constraints such as
full multi-user functionalities, LAN compatibility, record locking,
table locking, should support Paradox + access + XBase + ..., easy
portability from BDE, application installation easy (bundled in the
EXE or a few DLLs to copy).

If you know something that could help me, please give me the URL where
I could download a trial version or at least more precisions : I'd
like to test it prior to buy !

Thanks to place a copy in my own mailbox.

I have been using the LIB for several months w/ great success.

Try out Opus DirectAccess. Replaces BDE with direct interface to Microsoft
Jet engine, which in turn can read dBase, PDox, etc.
