Sqlplus and the 8.1.5.0.2 patch on Red Hat Linux 6.1

Sqlplus and the 8.1.5.0.2 patch on Red Hat Linux 6.1
I have installed 8.1.5 and have followed the readme's direction for
installing the 8.1.5.0.2 patch.

I see that svrmgrl now reports it is 8.1.5.0.2, but sqlplus is still saying
that it is 8.1.5.0.0.

Can one of you that has 8.1.5.0.2 installed verify for me that sqlplus is
saying it is at the 8.1.5.0.2 level?

Thank you,

Jerry Asher

Sqlplus and the 8.1.5.0.2 patch on Red Hat Linux 6.1

Thanks Peter,

It turns out that I am able to get SQLPLUS to report it is 8.1.5.0.2.

On the very first line of output, it reports 8.1.5.0.0, but then after you
connect to a database, it reports 8.1.5.0.2.

Um, at least something here is reporting 8.1.5.0.2, on second thought, maybe
it is not SQLPLUS itself....

Sigh,

Jerry

I have gone through the same process.
I also got the same result.
Hopefully we can assume that this patch didnt apply to the sqplus image.
By the way all Oracle functionality is still there...nothing broke.
