Description:   Responsibilities:
Work on project team to scope database requirements and technical architecture
Work with system administrator to configure database server and physical storage requirements
Work with Data Analysts to transfer logical models into physical models to build application databases
Perform Database Capacity Planning
Build and maintain development, validation and production application database environments
Develop, deploy and monitor backup and recovery procedures for database resources
Manage database security
Monitor database performance and implement a tuning strategy (Database parameter tuning and SQL tuning)
Installation, analysis, support and maintenance of database related software
Ensure accurate and effective documentation is created and maintained
Provide application programmer support

Required Skills
Oracle7/8/8i, PL/SQL, Oracle Utilities (Import, Export, Server Mgr., Enterprise Mgr.)
Oracle Enterprise Manager (Performance and Diagnostics Packs)
Oracle Advanced Replication
Unix and NT skill set
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Strong written and {*filter*}communication skills

Pluses:

Recovery Manager
