Function Based Index in Oracle 8
Hi,
I want to make my text search case insensitive but sine the index wont
be used if I use the upper() function. Is it possible to have function
based index or any workaround in oracle 8. I know it is possible in 8i.

Thanks
Anurag

Function Based Index in Oracle 8

The only thing I know is to have an additional column
with the searchable string in uppercase and an index
on it.

Bye
Uli
