 Help - solaris client install!!!

I have the following situation:

Oracle 8.0.5 installed and running
on a server. (sun sparc solaris 2.5
box).

Now i need to install SQLplus on
a client machine. (another sun solaris
sparc box). I don't know how to do this
and the IUG does not talk about this.
Also, other apps will be installed on
this second machine that will need to
use the oracle server.
What do i need to
do this? Will just copying the
tnsnames.ora file be sufficient?(where
should i copy this to?!)
Will SQLNet (or Net8) be necessery on
this second machine?

Copying the files would not be a good idea because there are more
internal files than just the tnsnames.ora and executables. You need to
install SQL*Plus from the CD using the custom installation. It will
want to make the same home directory that you have on the server. It
will install the proper TNS files. Once you have the installation
complete, then you can copy the tnsnames.ora and the sqlnet.ora files
to the client machine.

Tar up your $ORACLE_HOME on the server and dump it on the other machine.
Reconfig your .profile and you should be away!!

SQLNet/Net8 ??!??   Depends which product you  will be running.  Some
products use one - others use the other.... Confusing.... isnt it!
