anyone write a "bcp out where col = ..." ?

anyone write a "bcp out where col = ..." ?

I looking for a way to "bcp" a subset of rows from a table.   I cannot
afford to create intermediate tables to hold the subset (which may be
large), and then bcp that intermediate  table.  I hoping someone has
written a dblib program, or something of the like where I could hack the
code to use my tablenames, etc.

I've also attempted to write a sp to output the records, but the format
must be bcp compatible, and I have run into some roadblocks there.  If it
helps we are HP/UX 900 using 4.9.2.

Thanks for any help,
