 Sybase & Lotus Notes

Hi,

If you have an experience with software that allows Sybase and Lotus Notes
to connect, would you contact me?  I'd like to know what software you're
using and your experience with it.

We'd like to use something based on java.  Have tried a demo copy of
JConnect and PowerJ but were not satisifed with the customer support we
received and were never able to make a connection.

Thanks for your help.

There are functions built into Lotus Script to access ODBC sources, so
there is no problem extracting data from Sybase.  There is also C and C++
API's for lotus to extract data from Lotus databases ( but so far they have
caused me nothing but heartburn ).
If you go to the Lotus notes website, you can get an ODBC driver for Lotus
(which makes life a little easier).  You can then use C or C++ to move data
between the two sources.
If you have any specific questions, drop me a line at

I think that product that you're looking for is called NotesPump.

I'm not sure if it's a Lotus/IBM product or 3rd party, but we use it
successfully here at Sybase.
