Varchar field content check problem

 Varchar field content check problem
    I got a field defined as varchar. Calculations are applied on that field
if it contains only numeric. But I can't seem to find a way to do the
IsNumeric() equivalent of SQL Server.

    Anyone knows how I could achieve this ? I want to update all rows where
the field contains only numerics.
