: Extending the transaction log

 : Extending the transaction log

Hi there.

I'm seeking a beginner's guide to extending a transaction log. I've
looked at the System Admin guide which I think suggests that it is
possible to make my log bigger but I don't think the guide tells me
how. Presumably I'm misreading but if not I'd be greatful for a 1
syllable explanation.

thanks

I couldn't find anyplace that it came right out and gave
you the explicit instructions, but all the info you need
is in the books.  Read about sp_extendsegment ...
