 HELP - Error Message 131
I am getting an error message 131 when I run a report
using the RW-Library command "rptrun".  The report
runs fine when you run it from Data Workbench.  I only
get this error from the C Code.  Have read the description
of the error in sybase manual but it does not help.  Any
help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks
in advance.

Looking for errors with the report writer is always fun!
It's like finding your way in a completely dark room.

Error 131 is "column definition for result differs", which
means that a column in the actual result set is different
from the one when the batch was defined you get this error.

An example: say you have the following branch in your stored
procedure:

       SELECT headline = "HEADLINE"
    ELSE
       SELECT " "

is "Y", and you get an eight-column row and the report blows
up with code 131.

As the example shows, you don't need a difference in data types
to get error 131, but a difference in size as well.

Whether this gives you a hint I don't know. But if you haven't
done it, run the report in DWB with the same parameters as you
have in the C program. And of course, verify with the de{*filter*}
that you are actually send the parameters to the report you
believe you are sending.
