Difference between sybase 4.2 and 4.9, worth upgrading?
We are running a somewhat small, 200Meg, sybase database, on an
RS6000, with AIX.

One vendor is trying to convince us that we need to upgrade sybase to
version 4.9 from the 4.2 we are currently using.

What are the advantages of doing this?

Thanks,

Alan

For starters, 4.9.x is still a supported product (for how long I'm not
sure).  I found 4.9 to be a much more stable product than 4.2, and it was
quite a bit more efficient.
