DB Lib corrupting indexes on Server

DB Lib corrupting indexes on Server

I have a DOS app that uses DBLIB 4.2 for DOS to communicate with a
Sybase 4.9 server running on Solaris 1.1.2.

When DOS app has been running for a few days the Database Server reports
a corrupted leaf node in one of the indexes.

This sounds like a bug in DBLIB or more likely Sybase Server 4.9.
Has anyone experienced similar problems? What is the latest version of
DB Lib (DOS and Windows) that I can use with 4.9?

Sybase Support suggested upgrading to Sybase 4.9.2.2 (via patch
SWR5631).

Thanks in advance.
