ajk,

Your best bet is probably to use the bcp utility with the '-c' option to
output the data from the tables in character (rather than native)
format.  You can define a format file to define the format of the output
(reference the format file using the '-f' option of bcp).  This will put
the output data into a "fixed format" that can be input into Access,
Excel, etc.

Hope this helps,

Utilities such as bcp and isql should have come with Sybase; they should
be in the $SYBASE/bin directory.  Try typing 'bcp' or '$SYBASE/bin/bcp'
at your operating system command prompt; you should get a message
informing you of the parameter options for bcp.  If it can't find the
bcp utility, check the PATH statement to make sure $SYBASE/bin is
present.
