 dump database error

I have the next problem:

I do:
dump database dbjuan to "/syb_data/backup/backup1_dbjuan.dump" at SERVER_BK

1) I execute this dump from one AS placed in a diffrent computer than
SERVER_BK (backup server in a remote computer).
2) I get to partially write the dump file
("/syb_data/backup/backup1_dbjuan.dump") but before finishing the work I get
the next error message:
"Backup Server: 5.7.2.13: RPC ('bs_end_dump') execution failed".  If I
trie to load this file my database (dbjuan) becomes unuseful.
3) If I execute the dump locally, that works for both servers, so I think
both backup servers work fine.

Does anyone know this error and how to solve this situation? I've looked on
the sybase documentation and they say that it is a programming error on the
backup server, but I don't know what to do.

thanks a lot,
juan

Are there any messages in the log of the remote backup server?

yes, I have the next messages, apparently showing that everything is fine,
isn't it?

Backup Server: 4.41.1.1: Creating new disk file
/syb_data/backup/backup1_dbjuan.
Backup Server: 6.28.1.1: Dumpfile name 'dbjuan0214109565 ' section number
0001 mounted on disk file '/syb_data
/backup/backup1_dbjuan'

I think you'd need to call Sybase Tech Support for this problem.

thank you very much for your advice, at least I know now that this problem
doesn't have a simple solution.

How far is the dump to the remote backup server getting before it
crashes?  See if it is a device limitation or something along those lines.
