 Getting the serial of a non-committed row with ODBC

Hello world,

We know about the dbinfo('sqlca.sqlerrd1') construction within 4gl/NE.

Does anyone have a glue if ODBC 2.5 and  / or 3.0 has a portable solution
(so it can be used in MS ACCESS/Oracle) for it and how this is implemented
within a C++ client environment.
