Hi,

We're evaluating two options for doing replication between a primary server
and hot standby server in another physical location.

One option is using Hardware replication over storage network. Another
option is using informix replication (We're using Informix IDS 7.3)

My understanding is transactional data is not going to be replicated
properly over Hardward replication. But it can replicate files in file
system. Can someone shed some light on cons and pros of these two options ?

Thanks in advance.

Jerry Wang
