I recently received a demo of the new ViewPoint and DBA products from Informix.  These appear to be great products and I am interested in these but they seem to have a serious limitation of only running in MS Windows.

I have a need for a product that database novices can use to access and enter information into Informix databases from a GUI that can run in X Windows (preferrably Motif) and also in MS Windows.  I don't want to train and support users on two different GUIs.  I would be satisfied with a development environment that my software engineering team can create the needed applications for the users.  

What is available from Informix or third party vendors that meets this need?

I recently saw a demo of the JAM product from JYACC at an Infromix User Group
Meeting here in FL. I think that it may satisfy
you requirements.  My company is using Powerbuilder but that's only half
a loaf as it only does the windows environment at this time (though Powersoft
says
it will discuss their forthcoming X product under non-disclosure agreement..
