Please clarify.
If your version of FTP's PC/TCP is 2.3, this product cause trouble - I would
recommend you log a support call with your local Informix people for an
appropriate work around.
If your version of PC/TCP is 2.2, the 'etc' files must exist in c:\etc, this
includes hosts, services, protocols. Check the install notes for the
configuration of these files.
If DataLink works, do you mean DL in HST or DL in Wingz or earlier - this is
odd, usually once DL is working, all comms are working.
Have you got a local instance loaded (SE for DOS) ?
Overall, HST is usually a 'plug and play' toy, but I agree that, sometimes
a PC or a netowrk configuration can make the initial setup a bore.
I'm happy to foloow this up if you get a little more info.
