 How to determine the DBSpace a table is in?
Using Online 5.0, how can one determine which DB Space a table resides
in?  Any help greatly appreciated.

In 4.1 (presumably the same in 5.0) it's almost impossible without getting
really ugly.  What I do is:

      Every morning cron runs a script at 2:00 am that puts the
       output of tbcheck -pe in a file.
      Awk/sed script massages this file data
      SQL program inserts extent info, dbspace info, and other table
         info into a database table
      Various programs report against that table, including table-size
         reports that list dbspace.

In 6.0 they promise that much of this info will be available in real tables.

has a suite of programs that goes into the Informix black box area and
pulls this data out directly.  I haven't used it, but the programs are
relatively cheap (3-400 dollars) so you may want to give him a call.
