Changing 4GL reports without changing 4GL source

Is it possible to let user change look of reports produced with I-4GL?

Let say that  the order looks like this:

                ORDER No. :

                                        Date:

Order for:                              Receiver:
                                        Address    :

Item    Code    Type    Unit of mes     Quantity        Price           Total
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
item    i_code  i_type  i_uom           i_quant i_price (i_quant*i_price)

But after some time user want to change that (or we found new user) to look like
this:

                                        Date:

                ORDER No.:

Order for:
Receiver:                               Address:

Item    Code    Unit of mes     Quantity
                                Price                           Total
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
item    i_code  i_uom           i_quant
                                i_price                 (i_quant*i_price)

We don't want to change our source every time user change something in his head
or to have separate version for each customer.

Is there anybody who solve that problem using I-4GL? How is that done (just
idea)? How long it takes to develop that?

Is there any other solution?

Thanks

You will need to modify the code, but only once.  Create a series of
control tables that specify the 'default' report output etc, then
allow users to 'tweak' the default for there own needs.  How complicated
it becomes depends on the degree of freedom you want to give them

I have no idea how to do it in i4GL, but I know that some software companies
had
the dynamic reporting solutions made entirely in i4GL. But it does not seem to
be easy.

There are plenty of other solutions:
IBI-WebFOCUS, BusinessObjects, Cognos, CrystalRepotrs, Brio, etc..
