Error "1206 - Invalid day in date " while importing database

Hi,

We are running informix ver 5 on sco opensever 5. I am importing a database
on newly created instance.
When I run the dbimport command, it interrupts with following error. When i
checked unl file, it gives the error for a record which has 29/02/00 value.
If I remove this record then it work smoothly, but there are many unl files
which are having records of this date. It is not possible to delete these
records everytime.

*** put loadcur
1206 - Invalid day in date

Kindly tell me is there any date environment parameter to avoid it.

Regards
Rajesh Kokane

Ifx ver 5 is not y2k compliant...  No value of DBDATE will fix his
February 29, 2000 problem.

Error "1206 - Invalid day in date " while importing database

Tsutomu,

I did same thing, I replaced 29/02/00 records to 29/02/2000 and set the
parameter DBCENTURY and DBDATE=DMY4 then I started  dbimport. It
successfully completed. I verified  the data records, it is okey. Now I
removed both parameter.

Thanks for help.

Error "1206 - Invalid day in date " while importing database

Rajesh

What was the value of DBDATE when the export was done?  Set it to the same
for the import.

Then examine the unload file for the date column and determine what value is
in the date field.  It could be that the unload file is corrupt, in which
case you will need to correct the unload.

The message is saying "invalid day" so implies that you may have the year
and day mixed (since month is always valid when switched for the day field).
