 32-bit vs 64-bit on AIX 4.3.3

My information says that the kernel for AIX 4.3.3 is 32-bit but a 64-bit
compatible engine is available for 9.x.  Does anyone have information on
this and which version (32-bit or 64-bit) would be better for the
installation?

AIX 4.3.3 kernel extensions do support 64-bit applications.
If your hardware is capable of running 64-bit applications
and it has sufficient RAM (usually > 4 GB), a 64-bit version of
the Informix engine (IDS 7.31.Fxx or 9.x.Fxx) should provide more
throughput and room for growth.
