Starting I-Star

 Starting I-Star

I'm having difficulty getting I-Star started.  It was running fine under
HP-UX 9.04 with OnLine 5.03.  Now we've upgraded to HP-UX 10.01 and had to
upgrade to OLE 5.05 at the same time (turns out 5.05 wasn't necessary).  We
also put in what I believe to be a matching version of I-Star.

Now when I (as root) try to manually start I-Star (as shown on page 25 of
the I-Net/I-Star Inst. and Config. Guide):

setenv INFORMIXDIR /usr/informix
setenv SQLEXEC $INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlexec
$INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlexecd

I get the following message.

25512 The database engine program cannot be accessed.: No such file or directory

Does this speak to any of you?  Is there a way to determine whether I have
the right I-Star for my engine?

Ad(thanx)vance.

Dan,

It looks like you have your $SQLEXEC enviornment set incorrectly.

For OnLine, it should be $SQLEXEC=$INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlturbo.
You can check the version of I-Star by invoking sqlexecd with
        the "-V" option (i.e.  $INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlexecd -V)

        HTH.
