I just heard from a colleague whose wife works for Informix that Hyper-
script tools is supposed to be phased out by Informix.

According to this information, no further development of HSTools is planned,
nor will it be ported to the Macintosh platform.

Since this would have serious impact on our development planning, could
any one of the "insiders" comment on this?

Informix put a lot of effort at the July user conference into announcing
HST.  I'd be surprised if they dumped it so soon (I've been surprised before,
though :-)).

What they did say was that they are phasing out Wingz as a separate product.
Wingz 2.0, now the "spreadsheet object" in HST 1.0, is the last stand-alone
version to be released.  Supposedly Wingz spreadsheets will continue to
work using the spreadsheet within HST.

This is completely from memory.  If someone has conflicting info, please
