PDOXWIN Bypassing PrintManager ???

 PDOXWIN Bypassing PrintManager ???

Is it possible to completely bypass Window's Print Manager and
send output directly to the printer ???

In an applination I am developing, there needs to be a sort of
printed "log" of different transactions that happen.  I know
I could send the info to a table, and then report on hat table,
but that is not what I need...

I need to be able to print one line at a time, as the transactions
occur.  In PDOXDOS, I used to use an OPEN PRINTER statement,
followed by simple PRINT statements that would send the value
of certain fields to the printer.  Can I do that in PDOXWIN ???

Thanks,

The only way I could see that working would involve writing a DLL in C or
Pascal that takes a string and copies it to the printer.   There is no
way for Pdoxwin to only print one line and then continue processing without
ending the report.
