 Insert query PfW 5.0

This might allready been a question, can't remember but here it goes

In a InsertQuery I lose about 2/3 of the master-tables intries.

Which screew to turn for making it running ??

My query goes like this:

Query
ANSWER: :PRIV:ANSWER.DB

:aatic:VIRKSOMH.DB | Virksomhed ID | Virksomhed navn |
                                           | _join1                 | _join2          |

:aakeys:VKEYNAVN.DB | Virksomhed ID | Virksomhed navn |
Insert                                   | _join1                 | _join2          |

EndQuery

The master table have about 4400 record, after running the query
the dest. table only contains about 1400 records.

There is already a c.d.p. thread for this bug in PdoxWin 5.0.  The subject
for the thread is something like "[WIN 5.0] Queries on large tables don't
work".

To summarize, Borland is aware of the bug and is working on a fix.  The
release schedule for the fix has not been announced.  Since this bug causes
loss of data (with no indication to the user, and no way to recover),
customers generally consider this bug to be extremely critical and need a
fixed version right away.

Thanks for adding your experience to the pool.  We need to let Borland know
that we love their product but need their help to get running again.

This is a known bug in 5.0.  The current work around is generate the
stuff into a separate table and ADD it to the result table.

What sort of work around is there for queries that don't work.  I have a
large (I really don't consider 4108 records large) database that won't even
let me do a locate value correctly let alone a query on the table to yield
the correct results.  If I put this query into a method is it going to
work?  I tried to convert it to SQL and run it as an SQL statement but that
didn't work either.  There was talk at the Chicago Developers Conference
that there was a maintenance release but Customer Service says there
isn't.  This is a show stopper in my book.  You've got to count on a
query to work even if the table grows over time.  I've got applications
that were working when I put them out but now I'll need to go recheck them
to see that the queries in them are still yielding the correct answers.

If locate doesn't work, I think your table has a corrupt index.

I haven't seen any maintainence release over here in California (not
that many miles from Scotts Valley).

Does anyone know if this bug is specific to Paradox or whether it is
attributable to the Borland Data-Base Engine. If it is the latter
surely that has even wider implications being as dBase for Windows and
the BDE development tools itself would be affected.
