Memo->String ?

 Memo->String ?
Hi there !

Is there any way I can get a String from a "Memo" (which is actually a
String beneath) in a Query (QBE/SQL), that is, not using any OPAL code ?

Huh!

No OPAL (or PAL ,g.)? Try a report, that is your only option<g>.

Since that is obviously NOT what you wanted <g> it would depend on if
this string was really a SubString of a memo field. How do you
programatically locate it?

 Memo->String ?
Hi !

No need for locate: all I need is to get the full original table from the
ODBC source and add it somewhere else in a PX table. I mentioned a substring
because technically, one can't expect a memo to always fit in a string's
size, whatever that size may be, so it might be feasible to extract a
substring of the memo instead of trying to just cast it in a string type,
but actually, I know the size of each column (and they're short!).
