Printing reports with landscape orientation

 Printing reports with landscape orientation

Im trying to force Paradox 5 for Windows to print a report (with
landscape layout in Paradox) using the ReportPrintInfo constants.
Im using Win95 and the printer is a HP Laserjet 4 Plus.
When I use info like nCopies it works fine, but when I try to use
orient, I still got my report in Portrait mode.
Ive tried to search the online help and my manuals, but I cant find an
answer to my problem.

ex. code

var
 rep            Report
 repInfo        ReportPrintInfo
endVar
repInfo.name="FRX"
repInfo.orient=printLandscape
rep.print(repInfo)

Thaks for any help on this subject

In Paradox 7 I've found using the Page Layout option within the Report
designer to be most effective - (Under the report menu option).

The .orient setting in the printinfo didn't work for me at all.

 Printing reports with landscape orientation

I've come across this exact same problem under Win95 - using both
Paradox v5.0 and v7.0 - I have to change the printer settings from
the file menu before printing in Landscape.  If anybody knows how to
resolve this, I'd like to know as well.

 Printing reports with landscape orientation

Using sendKeys to change the orientation in the printer setup dialog
is the usual suggested workaround (elegant it ain't). Some folks have
also suggested switching back to the 16-bit printer drivers, though
this hasn't worked for me the few times I've tried it.

Wasn't aware this was also a problem ith v7.0 - I assume that's the
16-bit 7.0?

I'm sure lots of folks would love to hear of better solutions, if
they're out there.

You may also want to look into you online help. Do a search on
printerSetOptions and printerGetOptions and look at the examples.
