Are the changes that you put into effect not *recorded* or not *used*
when you start Pdox?  For instance, define an alias from the BDE
point-of-view.  Save it and exit the BDE.  When you come back in, does
the new alias show?  If it does show, is that same alias data
available when you next start Pdox?  What I'm getting at is that you
may be updating a cfg file that Pdox is not using.

During the installation of WordPerfect 8 there was already a newer BDE
installed. And the newer BDE has another name of the config-programm.
so after you installed pdox7, it gives you a link to the old
bde-programm, which was not able to influence the new bde!

btw: where was your "old" bde-programm from pdox7 located? in the same
corel-bde-directory?

I don't know if you have successfully found the answer to your problem, but
I experienced a similar problem on an NT workstation when the "C" drive was
formatted with NTFS.  I'm not sure why this mattered, but that was the only
known difference between two machines that were set up with identical
configurations.  The NT machine that had it's "C" drive formatted as FAT
worked, and the one as NTFS didn't.  We changed the NTFS to FAT (through
complete reinstallation), and no longer had the problem.  Good Luck

Howdy:

Rather than completely reinstalling NT next time, you might try
Partition Magic.  It'll allow you to do that type of thing on-the-fly.
