How to insert a higher level table in a form’s data model?

How to insert a higher level table in a form’s data model?

I have a working form and now must insert a new master table which will
make the current master a detail.  The last time I had to do this I
basically had to create a new form and cut & paste the original one into
the new one.

Is there an easier way to introduce the new master, either a QBE or DB,
without losing the current bindings?

(Someone at Borland once told me that it can be done with a script that
opens the form, unlinks the current master saves it opens it again,
adds the new master saves it opens it once more, creates the new
link and saves that!)  Will that work?

Thanking you in advance,

Stephen

Seems like it should reduce the number of undefined fields you will get
out of making this type of change, but why would you need to do it with
a script?  And since you already have this info, why haven't you tried
it already?
