Y2KFOX-like patch for Paradox
Evan,
You might check my site for details on similar options for PDoxDOS. There
are separate options:
- Stop the "19" suppression (4-digit years everywhere)
- Change to "19" suppression" to "20" suppression,
- Set a Window (or Epoch), yielding a 100-year suppression window, for,
say, 1960 to 2059.
The "Epoch" option is the most popular - based on enquiries/demand...and
results in NO changes to forms, etc. Validation rules and "Picture" clauses
may need slight tweaking...where APPLICATIONS think that 2000 (or 00) is not
a valid year...
Re "Expensive"...dunno...check the site !. Probably "expensive", but also
maybe 100 times cheaper than ANY other Y2K approach, and maybe a loss-leader
for me <s>...ah, well......
