 Y2KFOX-like patch for Paradox
Does anyone know of a Y2KFOX-like patch available for Paradox 3.5?
Y2KFOX is an (expensive) hack that sits between the user and a Foxpro
application; given a pivot year, it determines whether two-digit dates
fall in the 20th or 21st century.  (Thus, after running "y2kfox /a50",
the years 00-49 will be interpreted to be in the 2000s; years 50-99 will
fall in the 1900s.

No.. you have to write your own stuff for that.. in PdoxDOS, the default 2
digit range is 19xx..

 Y2KFOX-like patch for Paradox
Evan,

You might check my site for details on similar options for PDoxDOS. There
are separate options:
  - Stop the "19" suppression (4-digit years everywhere)
  - Change to "19" suppression" to "20" suppression,
  - Set a Window (or Epoch), yielding a 100-year suppression window, for,
say, 1960 to 2059.

The "Epoch" option is the most popular - based on enquiries/demand...and
results in NO changes to forms, etc. Validation rules and "Picture" clauses
may need slight tweaking...where APPLICATIONS think that 2000 (or 00) is not
a valid year...

Re "Expensive"...dunno...check the site !. Probably "expensive", but also
maybe 100 times cheaper than ANY other Y2K approach, and maybe a loss-leader
for me <s>...ah, well......
