Corrupt Memo Block in Paradox 4.5 for Dos

Does anyone know how to delete a record in a table that contains a
corrupt memo field(s)? One of my users utilizes Paradox 4.5 for DOS and
in trying to delete a particular record, the system continually attempts
to create a file, and comes back with the resources exceeded error
message. I know which record it is but the record contains several
corrupt memo fields. I tried restructuring this table but the system
returned the error message: "Unexpected condition: Corrupt memo block
for %s - Leaving Paradox".

I was wondering if there is an easy way to delete this record or should
I try to erase the data in a field such as "Name", do a Query to get all
the records that have data in the "Name" field, and then rename the
answer table.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

It is unsafe to attempt this. Run the table repair utility. If that does
not solve the problem export the table's contents to delimited ASCII.
Create a new table without borrowing and reimport the data.

If you can get your hands on a recent copy of PdoxWin use its table
repair utility as it is more capable.

1. Make a backup (or two) or the table.

2. Run the Table Repair utility on it.  Table Repair doesn't always
work, even the ParadoxWin version, and sometimes {*filter*}ly truncates
your table, hence step 1.

3. I've had the best luck with the 32-bit table repair/restructure
utility on Borland's website - run it under Win95.  This little
program can also be used to change the Block Size of an existing
table, which is nice.

Ray: when you have a damaged table, you need to
Rebuild it with Tutility.. make sure you have a
backup first.. Restruct the table after you do
the Rebuild..

For the most stable use of memo fields, always
make sure they are the last fields of the table
