 query problem

I have a problem which is that I am setting up a query and I would like to use
the calc command in it, and to use the 'or' condition as well.  What I want to
do is have it tell me the names of editors and how many manuscripts they have
reviewed.  I can do this just fine.  The problem comes when I want to be able
to specify which months the number reviewed are in.

For example, I have set up my query like this:

Manuscript field: is not checked
says : calc count as reviewed

Editor's name field: checked

date sent to field: says: >= 1/1/96, <=1/31/96

This query runs fine.
Then on the same query, I added another line for an "or" command and did this
on the second line:

Maunscript field:is not checked
says : calc count as reviewed

Editor's name field: is checked

date sent to field: says: >=2/1/96, <=2/29/96

When I go to run my query, it wont let me and says that it appears to ask two
unrelated questions.
If I link the two on the Manuscript field, then my answer table has no values
in it.

What am I doing wrong?  Can someone help me?

Thanks, Nicole Behrens

 query problem

Nichole: as it stands now, that *is* two
unrelated questions.. there are two ways
to approach this.. I prefer doing it the
hard way, since it's easier to explain to
others.. query the entire date range you
need, in one pass.. add a field to Answer..
SCAN Answer to seed that new field with
the month name.. then run your grouped
report and/or requery by month..
