Have any of the developers online had any experience w/
BESTPAL, the compiler for Paradox.  I have sent for info,
and the speed specs on the pre-release version LOOK great,
but I'd feel better if I could talk to a user.

We bought a copy of the Best Pal Compiler.  There are
several problems with it.  First, it is not yet complete.
It is still in beta test.  One of the things that does not
yet work is running on a network.  The beta version assumes
that it is running stand-alone.

The compiler is only compatable with Paradox 4.0 for Dos.
None of the 4.5 features are implemented.  It also is a
bit of a memory hog.  You will need 8 meg to use it.

Many things are much faster.  A few are slower.  Using
events like arrive-row are much faster with the compiled code.

BestPal is still in Beta as ov 6/1/94. A friend of mine who is in the
Beta program has nothing but praise for the product.

That's great to here!

But, can we get the price down to where normal people can get it!

I know you can not do anything about that. I just have been on the phone
all day  geting uprade pricing.....
