 Printing structure information
I have Paradox version 4.5. Trying to print the structure information from
a table to avoid copying it by hand. I must be missing something because I
can't seem to find a way to print out the field information. Any
suggestions?

If you were running 5.0 I could give you an app I wrote to do this
automatically.  However you can do it fairly easy as follows:

1) Open Project viewer to Tables

2) Right click the table you wish to print the structure on, and select INFO
STRUCTURE

3) Close the dialog

4) OPen the STRUCT.DB which has now been created in your PRIV directory.

5) Click the QUICK REPORT button.

6) Format the report as you like.

7) Save the form to your PRIV directory under any name you wish (I suggest
STRUCT.RSL)

Now whenever you want to print the structure on a table do the following.

1) Open INFO STRUCTURE for the table at hand

2) Close the dialog

3) Double click STRUCT.RSL in your PRIV directory.  VOILA

This should save you a tick of work.

DOS or Windows?

If DOS:
Menu |Tools|Info|Structure <table name>  InstantReport (Alt-F7)

If Windows:
In the project viewer, right-click on the table name.
Select "Info Structure..."
Press the "Save As" button
Create a Quick Report.

Hope this helps.

First you have to have Pdox list the structure for you.
If this is DOS, then Tools | Info | Structure and choose a table.  When the
STRUCT table appears on the screen, press Alt+F7 to produce an instant
report.
If this is Windows, File | Utilities | Info Structure and choose a table.
When the dialog box opens, press Done.  The table STRUCT will be in your
private directory (:PRIV:).  The STRUCT table in Windows has more fields
than the DOS version, so I always create a custom report of the table and
choose only the fields I'm interested to appear on the report.
