Hello PDOXWIN users. I am facing a problem that seems to defy sensible
solution. When I try to Restructure an exisitng table, I get the PDOXWIN
error message 'Cannot create Struct.Db file'. After I acknowledge this
message by selecting 'OK' I get a message from Windows 'Read access error on
Drive D:'. I have tried reinstalling PDOXWIN, moving all the files to a
different drive, and have done a thorough disk check to verify there are no
disk problems. But I am still unable to restructure my tables.

Can someone tell me what's happening here and how I can solve this problem?

Thank you.

The only occasion on which I have seen this message is when I had
opened STRUCT.DB as a table to look at a table's structure. Thus I was
provoking a sharing violation by trying to Restructure at the same
time. Your problem may be a variant of that -- unintentional sharing,
or SHARE thinking that, even if you are not.

Also double-check where your :PRIV: directory is set, as this is where
STRUCT.DB will be created. Try changing it to see if that fixes.

g'luck,
peter

I have received this message before but it was due to not enough room on the
hard drive left (too many temporary files, I guess).

However, this doesn't sound like your problem.
