Date Display Proble

 Date Display Proble
I am trying to insert the Date into a layout.  I have created a Date field
and with the option installed STATUS(Current Date), as I have done before
which has worked fine.  This time in the Layout Mode it shows the Date &
Label, but in the Browse Mode only the Label shows and it is NOT a text
color problem.  Where did I go wrong or what did I miss. . . . . .

I am using FMP 6.3

Thanks for your help.

Make sure the field wide enough for your chosen format for the date
field - both Date Format and Text Size/Style can affect the width
needed. Try turning on the Show -> Sample Data option in the View menu
to give you a guide, but remember some dates will be longer than
others.

The Status functions are designed to be used primarily in scripts.
Making a field equal to one and putting it on a layout is not likely to
yield satisfactory results, despite it having functioned previously.

To print a current date on a layout, use the symbols "//" (no quotes) in
a text block on a layout. Use "::" for time, and "##" for page number.
These are all listed under "Paste Special" in the Edit menu.
