PLEASE HELP, MAC! IS THIS MY SOLUTION??

Hi, and thank your for taking the time to help me.

I'm looking to create a database driven application designed to
specifically schedule and budget projects for my company.  I've spent the
last 3 days reading massive amounts of information on various authoring
environments, and I keep coming back to fox pro or something like it to
develop the back end for my application.  It seems as though VFP or FP
along with some helpers are actually capable of creating the front end
user interface as well.  If this is true, I have but a few questions:

1:  Can I, in a Macintosh environment, author stand alone applications for
Windows 95, 98, NT and Mac operating systems. (NT not necessary for now),
Utilizing VFP, FP and FoxExpress?

2.  Will my end users be able to creat and save data files that are unique
to my application?

3.  Will the unique files generated by my application be cross platforum
in nature? (will users on mac and pc platforums be able to share files?)

4.  What are the differences between Fox Pro and Visual Fox Pro?  (In LAME
MANs terms ;-)

Also, any information anyone can give me about programs designed for
Object oriented, cross platforum programming from a mac os would be
greatly appreciated.  Are there any web recources where I can download an
example of a Mac based stand alone ap, written with FP or VFP?

Thank you all for your help!

Yes, if you use VFP 3.0 (WIN + MAC)

FoxPro is a DOS product. VFP is a Windows product.

FP = Procedural Language
VFP = Procedural Language AND Object Oriented Language.

You can use VFP to create procedural only applications, but you will miss
all the power and flexibility of OOP.
