
Disappointment about FileMaker 5.5

I agree - I don't want my customers to see greyed out menus that they
will never use.

I have to respectfully disagree here - sort of. While it'd be nice to
have that feature built in, the functionality is available from a third
party.
I'd rather FileMaker first focus on functionality that is not provided
by plug-in developers. I'm really happy to see record-level security
included, and I anxiously await true multi-threading, menu customization
you mentioned, updated OS-native UI elements (aquafied scroll bars,
buttons, checkboxes and radio buttons).
